The London Latin American Film Festival is a cultural event dedicated to screening the best of contemporary Latin American cinema.
As a not-for-profit organisation, LLAFF relies on the generous contributions of our donors and sponsors. This year we have had very little funding and a lot of it is coming from our Director’s own pocket, as she is determined to continue providing London audiences with this excellent insight into Latin American culture and society.
We have the proud distinction of being the longest-running festival of Latin American cinema in the UK. The 19th annual LLAFF will take place from 6-15 November 2009. This year we will build on our reputation for excellence in cutting-edge programming by presenting screenings and events at various venues across London. And next year – 2010 – is our 20th anniversary, so we want to make this a really spectacular event!
By donating to LLAFF, you become an important part of our growth and success. LLAFF donors are instrumental in helping us expand our audiences, and continue to deliver a festival of international calibre.
In addition, LLAFF donors support our ability to offer screenings at local community centres and smaller film clubs, an integral part of promoting a cultural understanding of Latin America through film.
