Eva Tarr-Kirkhope is a highly respected consultant, researcher, adviser and lecturer on a wide range of subjects including Latin American Cinema, Cuban Cinema, Cuban History and the History of Art.

She was the co-founder, with her husband Tony Kirkhope, of the London Latin American Film Festival. Her unparalleled knowledge of the contemporary cultural scene, in Latin America as well as Europe, accounts for the enduring popularity and relevance of the Festival (of which she has been sole director since Tony’s untimely death in 1997).

Eva is able to offer introductions and liaison services for producers, directors and talent, with Latin American film makers and artists throughout the world.

As the co-owner, with Tony, of  Metro Tartan Ltd. and director of Metro Pictures and Metro Cinemas, Eva became a doyenne of the Festival Circuit and has extensive, contemporary experience as a film programmer and curator of International Film Festivals and Exhibitions.

Born in Cuba, Eva graduated with a Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Havana before beginning her successful film career in Europe. She, therefore, possesses a strong appreciation of the graphicarts, in Cuba and beyond, and is the owner of a considerable collection of Latin America art pieces, as well as an archive of rare Latin films and videos to which she can offer access.
